O2 World Berlin (Mercedes-Benz Arena)

In 2005 the building owner and operator, Anschutz Entertainment Group requested our expertise to handle the specialist trade work for the sports, spectator and event facilities directly. The aim was to extract those services from the main contractor package. It was negotiated and agreed with the main contractor, the Arge Arena, that baa would continue to provide services for the ice rink and ice hockey boards but deal with the other services directly on behalf of the building owner. These special trade works contained telescopic seating platforms incl. seating for basketball events, mobile seating platforms incl. seating for ice hockey events, mobile standing room area, mobile grandstand extension, fixed seating, VIP seating, business seating, mobile grandstand seating and press and commentator booths. All in all we created a seating capacity of 15,000 for a variety of options. Further components of our services included ice rink coverage, mobile sports floor, rigging and curtain system, equipment of changing rooms and performers' dressing rooms.
