Space Center Bremen

Formerly known Space Park Bremen (now called Waterfront) was developed as a shopping center with an entertainment park in space travel design. The incorporated Space Center Bremen designed to be the core feature of the park and Germany’s first indoor theme centre offered a wide range of leisure attractions including 3 cinema theatres.  

The project began in 2000 and in 2003 we were awarded the contract for project and construction management, scheduling and building permit coordination. Our main task was to coordinate the special trades for attractions as well as incorporating them into the overall construction, which was led by Arge Space Park. 

As part of our contract we were responsible for the Cinespace cinema, the IMAX Theater, and a 4D cinema. At the time the entire space travel design complex was unique in Europe and had set a high standard for the building’s fire protection and all other safety issues. 

Our team of 5 specialists from Planprojekt GmbH, a.house and baa GmbH managed the entire project development of attractions with a total investment of 75,000,000.00 € within 13 months and in adherence to budget. The work performed by the trades we coordinated was all completed 4 weeks ahead of schedule and Grand Opening of the park in February 2014.
